When she was younger, in 2012, Lucy debuted as a musical actress first. It was when she was in elementary school that she starred in Crown of Glory. Weki Meki is a girl group under Fantagio. Before they officially debuted, people knew them as I-Teen Girls who started to greet fans in early 2017. The first two members who joined the line-up were Kim Doyeon and Kim Yoojung. Both of them joined Produce 101 and debuted in I.O.I. No wonder people were expecting their own group, that’s because the two of them had been gaining popularity. In May 2017, Fantagio released a statement that Kim Doyeon and Kim Yoojung’s new girl group would be debuting in July. As time went by, Fantagio started to introduce the rest of the members. In early June 2017, Fantagio introduced the rest of the members in broadcasting live, not only their faces but also names. Lucy was one of the girls who were introduced there.
